Reward of Lailutil Qadr available Year Round- 4 after Isha.

Abdullah ibn Amr (Radi Allahu anhu) said: “ Whoever prays four Rakah after Isha is like praying four Rakah during Lailutil Qadr.[1]

Aisha (radi Allahu Anha) said: Four Rakah after Isha are like praying four Rakah during Lailutil Qadr [2]

 Benefits for this subject:

  • There are several narrations from the companions of the Prophet ( sallahu alayhi wa salim) about the virtue of praying these four Rakah after Isha prayer. The authentic ones are from: Aisha, Ibn Masud, Muhjahid, and Abdur Rahman ibnal Aswad. Although they are narrations from the companions they hold the status of being attributed to and being heard from the prophet (sallahu alayhi wa salim); as this is an issue that one couldn’t speak about from his opinion. On the contrary to know about such an issue requires revelation.[3]

  •  The description for these prayers according to Abdullah ibn Masud (Radi Allahu Anhu) is they are prayed in four units without a Tasleem between them, which would had made them 2 then 2. Although the night prayers are done in units of 2 then 2, except for witr, here we  have an authentic text that gives a description for these prayers, so we must act according to it. And Allah knows best.

3 . Abdullah (radi Allahu anhu) said : “ Whoever prays four rakat after Isha without dividing between them with a tasleem, then they are equal to praying four during Lailutil Qadr.” [4]
