Words of Tawheed can cure Stress
عن عائشة
إذا أصاب أحدكم هم أو لأواء فليقل: الله الله ربي لا أشرك به شيئا
Aisha (Radi Allahu an ha) narrated the Prophet (sallAllahu alayhi wa salam) said:
” If anyone of you is filled with worry and anxiety, let him say, ” Allah, Allah is my Lord, I don’t join any partners with him at all.”
Collected At-Tabarani in Awsot (5290) Al-Amir As-Sanan’I and Al-Albani graded this hadeeth as being Hasan in Jami As-Saghir.
Benefits:
- ” If anyone of you is filled with worry… This refers to a person being tested with sadness and fear of something that might happen.
- Anxiety… This results from a person finding his manner of living difficult, as he doesn’t have enough means of subsistence or income.
- Let him say, ” Allah, Allah is my Lord, I don’t join any partners with him at all.” This is because the heart is created to know its fashioner and creator. The heart acknowledges who gives it life, and believes in Him, and recognizes Allah. Therefore when these words are said the heart finds happiness and delight by drawing closer to Allah and relying on Him.
Love and hate are in the heart and constantly remembering Allah is the most beloved thing to the heart. In fact, there is no life, no comfort and no delight in the heart except through remembering Allah. The worry and the anxiety are the heart’s pain whenever life, comfort and delight are absent.
- The words the Prophet (sallAllahu alayhi wa salam) lead us to say are a strong remedy. Included in these words are Tawheed, the affirmation of Allah’s Lordship and making Him alone in worship. Moreover, these words uproot the tree of negligence and removes the root of the dirty plant from the heart’s soil.
