Simple ways to Build Your House in Jannah

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

So you might be struggling to get your house in this world. Maybe it’s the high cost of real estate, Interest loans, or your financial situation is tight. At any rate don’t let that get you down, because the houses we buy in this life are only temporary residences for us anyway, but In Jannah there are houses, mansions and castles. Those accommodations only share the same names with those in this life. A house in Jannah is your permanent residence. Houses made of gold and silver. There is the option to own as many as you want-Inshallah. In this article I’ll present some authentic hadith including things we can  do daily to build our palaces next to Allah.

  1. Ask Allah for a Castle in Jannah

 

وَضَرَبَ ٱللَّهُ مَثَلاً۬ لِّلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ ٱمۡرَأَتَ فِرۡعَوۡنَ إِذۡ قَالَتۡ رَبِّ ٱبۡنِ لِى عِندَكَ بَيۡتً۬ا فِى ٱلۡجَنَّةِ

And Allah gives an example for those who believe: the wife of Pharaoh when she said: My Lord! Build for me a home with thee in the Garden

  1. Close the gaps in the prayer

قال صلى الله عليه وسلم

 مَنْ سَدَّ فُرْجَةً بنى اللَّهُ  لَهُ بَيْتًا فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَ رفعه بها درجة

Whoever closes the gaps in the prayer Allah will build him a house in Jannah and elevate his status.[1]

  1. Visiting the sick and your brother in Islam.

قال صلى الله عليه وسلم

 مَنْ عَادَ مَرِيضًا أَوْ زَارَ أَخًا لَهُ فِي اللهِ نَادَاهُ مُنَادٍ أَنْ طِبْتَ وَطَابَ مَمْشَاكَ وَتَبَوَّأْتَ مِنَ الجَنَّةِ مَنْزِلاً

I heard Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) saying, “Whosoever visits an ailing person or a brother of his to seek the Pleasure of Allah, an announcer (angel) calls out: ‘May you be happy, may your walking be blessed, and may you be awarded a dignified position in Jannah”.[2]

4.Sunnah Ar-Rawatib Daily

قال صلى الله عليه وسلم

مَنْ صَلَّى فِي يَوْمٍ ثِنْتَىْ عَشْرَةَ سَجْدَةً تَطَوُّعًا بُنِيَ لَهُ بَيْتٌ فِي الْجَنَّةِ ‏‏

He who observed twelve voluntary rak’ahs, a house will be built for him in Paradise.[3]

  1. Building A masjid

قال صلى الله عليه وسلم

 مَنْ بَنَى مَسْجِدًا لِلَّهِ بَنَى اللَّهُ لَهُ فِى الْجَنَّةِ مِثْلَهُ

“Whoever builds a masjid seeking Allah’s Pleasure, Allah will build a house for him in Jannah.[4]

6.Read Surah Al-Ikhlas 10 times

قال صلى الله عليه وسلم

 من قرأ { قل هو الله أحد } عشر مرات ؛ بنى الله له بيتا في الجنة

Whoever reads Surathul Ikhlas 10 times Allah will build him a house in Jannah.[5]

  1. Make Dua before entering the Market place

قال صلى الله عليه وسلم

” قَالَ مَنْ دَخَلَ السوق فَقَالَ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلا الله وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ يُحْيِي وَيُمِيتُ , بِيَدِهِ الْخَيْرُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ , كَتَبَ الله لَهُ أَلْفَ أَلْفِ حَسَنَةٍ , وَحَطَّ عَنْهُ أَلْفَ أَلْفِ سَيِّئَةٍ , وَرَفَعَ لَهُ أَلْفَ أَلْفِ دَرَجَةٍ , وبنى له بيتا في الجنة

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Whoever enters the marketplace and says: ‘There is none worthy of worship except Allah, Alone, without partner, to Him belongs the dominion, and to Him is all the praise, He gives life and causes death, He is Living and does not die, in His Hand is the good, and He has power over all things, (Lā ilāha illallāh, waḥdahu lā sharīka lahu, lahul-mulku wa lahul-ḥamdu, yuḥyī wa yumītu, wa huwa ḥayyun lā yamūtu, biyadihil-khairu, wa huwa `alā kulli shay’in qadīr)’ Allah shall record a million good deeds for him, wipe a million evil deeds away from him, and raise a million ranks for him and house will be built for him in Jannah.[6]

  1. Abandon Arguing, Lying when Joking, and having good character.

قال صلى الله عليه وسلم

انا زَعِيمٌ بِبَيْتٍ فِي رَبَضِ الْجَنَّةِ لِمَنْ تَرَكَ الْمِرَاءَ وَإِنْ كَانَ مُحِقًّا وَبِبَيْتٍ فِي وَسَطِ الْجَنَّةِ لِمَنْ تَرَكَ الْكَذِبَ وَإِنْ كَانَ مَازِحًا وَبِبَيْتٍ فِي أَعْلَى الْجَنَّةِ لِمَنْ حَسَّنَ خُلُقَهُ ‏”‏

The Prophet (ﷺ) said: I guarantee a house in the surroundings of Paradise for a man who avoids quarrelling even if he were in the right, a house in the middle of Paradise for a man who avoids lying even if he were joking, and a house in the upper part of Paradise for a man who made his character good.[7]

 

  1. Saying “Al-Hamdulilah and Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi raji’un” as recovery after losing a child.

قال صلى الله عليه وسلم

  إِذَا مَاتَ وَلَدُ الْعَبْدِ ، قَالَ اللَّهُ سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى لِلْمَلائِكَةِ : أَقَبَضْتُمْ وَلَدَ عَبْدِي ؟ قَالُوا : نَعَمْ ، قَالَ : أَقَبَضْتُمْ ثَمَرَةَ فُؤادِهِ ؟ قَالَوا : نَعَمْ ، قَالَ : فَما قَالَ ؟ قَالُوا : اسْتَرْجَعَ وَحَمِدَكَ ، قَالَ : ابْنُوا لَهُ بَيْتًا فِي الْجَنَّةِ ، وَسَمُّوهُ بَيْتَ الْحَمْدِ

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “When a man’s child dies, Allah, the Exalted, asks His angels, ‘Have you taken out the life of the child of My slave?’ and they reply in the affirmative. He ( then asks, ‘Have you taken the fruit of his heart?’ and they reply in the affirmative. Then He asks, ‘What did my slave say?’ They say: ‘He praised You and said: Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi raji’un (We belong to Allah and to Him we shall return).’ Allah says: ‘Build a house for my slave in Jannah and name it Baitul-Hamd (the House of Praise).”‘[8]

  1. Whoever prays 4 at Duha prayer then another 4 at Thur.

قال صلى الله عليه وسلم

مَنْ صَلَّى الضُّحَى أَرْبَعًا، وَقَبْلَ الأُولَى أَرْبَعًا بنيَ لَهُ بِهَا بَيْتٌ فِي الْجَنَّةِ

Whoever prays 4 Rak’ah at Duha and 4 before Thur will have a house built for him in Jannah.[9]
